How it works
Who it’s for
The methods chapter, the journal articles, the reading between visits. Listen in the gaps, and keep case material well away: uploads are checked for real people first.
Train, bus, the walk to campus or the drive home. Turn the journey into reading time without looking at a screen.
Guidance updates, journal club papers, policy documents. A ten-minute briefing you’ll actually fit in, with notes you can export.
Also for teachers, nurses, doctors, social workers, solicitors, engineers, busy parents, dyslexic readers and language learners: for study, work reading, CPD, revision, the commute, the gym, a walk, or resting your eyes.
Hands-free, screen-free, and sized to the journey. Episodes also play in your usual podcast app through a private feed.

Safety and privacy
If your reading sits anywhere near case files, one slip could cost a career. So PaperAudio checks every upload before a single word is written, and keeps everything private to you.
Names and details of pupils, clients, patients and families are flagged first. Authors and public figures are fine. If we’re unsure, we stop and ask you.
No public links, no catalogue, no sharing. Only you can hear your episodes.
Your material makes your episode, and nothing else.
Delete something and it’s gone, not hidden.
Checking your upload
In testing now. Everything here is coming soon.
Not someone else’s podcast. Yours.
A conversation, not a robot reading aloud.
Words light up as they’re spoken.
Catch a thought. Take it away, references and all.
Lecture, story, news bulletin, debate, even comedy.
Ten minutes or the whole journey.
Built with a doctoral researcher who spends three hours a day on the road.
Her reading list didn’t fit her day. So we’re making it fit anyone’s.

Not yet. We’re testing with a small group first. Join the early-access list and we’ll email you once, when it opens.
We haven’t set prices yet. The plan is a low monthly subscription, with student pricing for anyone with a university email. People on the early list hear first.
Please don’t add case notes or client material at all. Every upload is checked first, and anything that could identify a pupil, client, patient or family is flagged before anything is made. When we’re unsure, we stop and ask. What you add is private to you and never used to train AI.
NotebookLM is a brilliant research notebook, and its Audio Overviews are a great extra. PaperAudio is built only for listening: you choose the length, tone and format, the same two hosts talk you through it, words light up as they’re said, and notes and exports stay with the episode. It also checks every upload for identifiable people, which matters if your reading sits near placement or clinical work.
Your own material: papers, lecture slides, notes, reports, Word docs, links and reading lists. Only add things you have the right to use.
iPhone, Android and the web. Episodes also go to a private podcast feed, so they play in Apple Podcasts or the podcast app you already use, in the car too.
Only you. Nothing is shared or published, and you can delete anything, for good, at any time.
This opens your email app with a short note to us. Press send and you’re on the list. Nothing is stored on this site.
